Hi, I’m krautguy from Berlin and on this blog I want to introduce my C64 home computer and all the accessories I’ve bought over the years and still buy. The mountain is getting bigger and bigger! It is unfortunately not my first C64, but already my third, but what the hell, you should learn from old mistakes.

I am not one of those collectors who want to own as many 8-/16-/-XX-bit systems as possible, although in my youth I owned an Amiga 1200, a Game Boy and similar devices in addition to the C64. Instead, I try to concentrate on the productive use of a system. In my case this is the C64. Main reasons for this are the high availability of support and hardware even today, but also the many new releases that are released every year.

Finally, the fascination of 8-bit for me is that these systems can still be understood almost completely today, while modern computers are already so complex that usually no single person can understand all aspects anymore.

I hope the reader has a lot of fun with my blog. Criticism and comments of any kind are welcome!

I also like ARM-based computers and especially SoC and Raspberry Pi systems 🙂 In my opinion, they are most in accordance with the spirit of the former home computers, because they are small, affordable, expandable and rich in possibilities.
